EXPERIENCE:
I’ve been stamping since about 1993. My style has evolved over the years, and can best be described as clean, detailed, and technique oriented. I am experienced with a variety of coloring media, including wax and oil based pencils, watercolors in a variety of forms, acrylic paint, and alcohol markers. My stamped work is characterized by realistic coloring and attention to detail.
My work has been published in the Rubber Stamper, Paper Crafts, Somerset's Take Ten, Vamp Stamp News, and Card Creations, in addition to catalog supplements for Impression Obsession, which are distributed to retailers and consumers worldwide. I found my niche in doing design and concept work, and my work can be found in several manufacturers' galleries, including Impression Obsession, Our Daily Bread designs, Heartfelt Creations, and Flower Soft. I do freelance work for ShinHan Art Materials in Korea, using their fine art markers. I have also served a 6-month term as a member of the prestigious Dirty Dozen design team at Splitcoaststampers.com, the largest stamping community on the internet.
In addition to stamping, I am a self-taught graphic designer, and enjoy designing photo watermarks, blog banners, and stamp art. In 2008 in response to a dream and a need for Christian-themed collage stamp art, I began designing artwork to license to rubber stamp companies. My work is a combination of derivative design and my own hand drawn artwork. I enjoy working with photo and vintage images as well.
GRAPHIC DESIGN:
I'm always finding new art forms that fascinate me, and though I won't ever master them all, designing stamp art is one genre I have really enjoyed exploring. My artwork is available for licensing.
